The Knowledge and Data Engineering (KADE) Lab conducts research in data mining, machine learning, and applied artificial intelligence. The lab is located in the Department of Computer Science at LUMS School of Science and Engineering.

Research topics of interest include (1) text classification, clustering, and topic identification, (2) spam filtering, (3) Web data mining, (4) social computing applications, (5) semantics in text processing, (6) medical informatics, (7) probabilistic and statistical methods in data mining/machine learning.
